Privacy Policy
Version 3.3 — Last Updated: June 26, 2026
Previous Version: April 17, 2026 (v3.0)
1. Introduction
SlammedU LLC ("SlammedU," "we," "us," or "our") operates an unofficial online platform that helps incoming college students create campus social posts, discover other students, and use related community features.
SlammedU is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to any university, college, or school unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use SlammedU websites, apps, dashboards, campus pages, social posting services, payment flows, messaging or notification features, and related services.
2. Eligibility and Minors
SlammedU is intended for users who are at least 17 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
If you are under 18, you may use SlammedU only if permitted by applicable law and with parent or guardian awareness and consent where required. A parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion of a minor's personal information.
3. Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including:
- name, email address, phone number, and account login information;
- school or campus selection, class year, intended graduation year, and profile information;
- Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Discord, Spotify, and other social handles you choose to provide;
- photos, captions, bios, interests, and other content you submit for posts or profiles;
- age, date of birth, admitted-student status, housing preferences, roommate preferences, major, organizations, or similar information if you choose to provide it or if we later request it for a feature;
- payment, billing, subscription, and transaction information processed through Stripe or other payment providers;
- messages, contact forms, support requests, reports, appeals, and moderation communications;
- notification preferences, SMS consent choices, and verification information.
We may collect information automatically, including:
- device, browser, IP address, approximate location, referring pages, and usage data;
- pages viewed, buttons clicked, forms started or submitted, upload activity, checkout activity, and feature usage;
- cookies, local storage, analytics identifiers, session information, and similar technologies.
We may receive information from third parties, including:
- authentication providers such as Google, Instagram, or other login providers;
- payment processors such as Stripe;
- communications providers such as Resend and Twilio;
- analytics and infrastructure providers such as PostHog, Supabase, Vercel, and similar vendors;
- Instagram, Meta, or other social platforms when we publish or manage content through integrations;
- users, business account operators, staff, or other people who report safety, abuse, impersonation, or rights concerns.
We may also review publicly available information, such as public social media profiles, posts, tags, comments, and handles, for moderation, safety, abuse prevention, page management, support, or content publishing purposes.
4. No Routine Student Verification
SlammedU does not currently verify every user's identity, age, enrollment status, student status, admission status, or affiliation with a university. Users are responsible for submitting truthful and accurate information. We may request additional information, restrict access, or remove content if we suspect impersonation, fraud, unsafe behavior, or misuse.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create and manage accounts, profiles, dashboards, posts, and campus pages;
- upload, store, review, approve, reject, publish, and manage user-submitted content;
- publish submitted photos, captions, bios, social handles, class year, interests, and related content to campus social pages or other public channels when you submit content for that purpose;
- process payments, subscriptions, refunds, disputes, and Stripe Connect transactions;
- send verification codes, account notices, post status updates, draft reminders, billing notices, support replies, and other service communications;
- provide analytics, debugging, fraud prevention, security, rate limiting, and product improvement;
- moderate content, investigate reports, enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, and protect users;
- develop or provide discovery, matching, recommendation, messaging, moderation, or community features using profile information, preferences, interests, activity, submitted content, generated scores, inferred interests, rankings, suggested connections, or automated recommendations;
- market SlammedU, including by displaying user-submitted content or public post screenshots as described in our Terms;
- comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
6. Public Content and Social Posting
When you submit content for posting, you understand that your photos, captions, bio, social handles, class year, interests, likeness, and other submitted information may be publicly displayed on Instagram, campus pages, SlammedU pages, or other public channels.
Public content may be viewed, saved, screenshotted, shared, cached, indexed, copied, or reposted by others. We can remove or restrict content from systems we control, but we cannot guarantee deletion from Instagram, Meta, search engines, screenshots, reposts, caches, archives, third-party services, or other places outside our control.
7. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- service providers that help us host, store, analyze, communicate, verify, process payments, publish content, or operate SlammedU;
- payment processors and connected business accounts as needed to process transactions, subscriptions, fees, payouts, disputes, fraud checks, and tax or compliance obligations;
- Instagram, Meta, and other social platforms when you submit content for posting or connect accounts;
- business, campus, or staff account operators, contractors, support tools, CRM tools, spreadsheets, and limited-access admin dashboards used to review posts, manage campus pages, process support requests, or operate SlammedU services;
- analytics, security, debugging, and infrastructure providers;
- legal, safety, law enforcement, or regulatory recipients where required or reasonably necessary;
- another company in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, asset sale, or similar transaction.
Unless we clearly say otherwise, SlammedU campus pages are unofficial and are not university-operated pages. We do not currently share private account data with universities as official school partners.
We do not currently sell student contact lists or routinely share private account data with universities, student-life marketers, advertisers, sponsors, or lead buyers. If we later offer sponsor, partner, or university data-sharing features that require notice, consent, or opt-out rights, we will provide them as required by law.
8. Marketing and Likeness
If you submit content to SlammedU, you grant us permission to use your submitted content, name, username, image, likeness, public profile, and screenshots or recordings of published posts to operate, promote, advertise, and explain SlammedU.
You may contact us to request that we stop using your content in future marketing. We will make reasonable efforts to honor future-use requests, but we may not be able to remove materials already published, printed, distributed, cached, archived, used in paid campaigns, or controlled by third parties.
For users under 18, we may limit or remove marketing uses upon request from the user or a parent or guardian where reasonably possible.
We do not intend to knowingly use identifiable photos, names, usernames, videos, testimonials, or likenesses of users we know are under 18 in paid advertising, investor fundraising materials, major website promotion, or similar promotional campaigns. Normal operation of SlammedU may still involve publishing submitted content to the campus page, public post, or social channel selected by the user.
9. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate SlammedU, remember preferences, measure usage, improve the product, detect errors, and protect the service. Our analytics providers may process identifiers such as user ID, email, name, account type, device information, usage events, and page activity.
You may be able to limit cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if cookies or local storage are disabled.
Some third-party analytics, advertising, infrastructure, and social platform tools may collect information about your activity on SlammedU and other websites or services over time. Where legally required, we will provide required notices and choices for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, sales, sharing, or similar activity.
10. SMS and Communications
If you provide a phone number or opt in to SMS, we may send verification codes, account notices, post updates, reminders, security alerts, and other service messages. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages and HELP for help, where supported. See our SMS Terms for more detail.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message where available or by contacting us. We may still send non-marketing messages, such as account, security, payment, support, legal, or service notices.
Opting out of SMS may limit features that require phone verification or service messages. We may retain SMS consent and opt-out records to comply with legal and carrier requirements.
11. Payments
Payment information is processed by Stripe or other payment processors. We do not store full card numbers. We may store transaction IDs, customer IDs, subscription status, checkout metadata, amount paid, connected account details, and related payment records.
Payment processors may process your information under their own privacy policies and compliance obligations.
12. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide SlammedU, operate accounts, publish and manage posts, process payments, resolve disputes, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and keep business records.
Retention periods vary by data type. Account and profile data is generally kept until deletion, inactivity cleanup, or another business need ends. Payment, tax, accounting, chargeback, and fraud records may be kept for legally required or commercially reasonable periods. SMS consent and opt-out logs may be retained to comply with carrier and legal requirements. Moderation, safety, abuse, and dispute records may be retained where needed to protect users, prevent repeat abuse, or enforce our Terms. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period after deletion from active systems.
13. Deletion and Access Requests
You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
If you request deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify personal information we control, subject to legal, safety, fraud prevention, payment, dispute, backup, and legitimate business needs.
Deletion from SlammedU systems does not guarantee deletion from Instagram, Meta, other social platforms, search engines, screenshots, reposts, cached pages, archives, third-party services, or content already distributed outside our control.
14. California Minors' Content Removal
If you are a registered user under 18 and live in California, you may request removal of content or information that you posted on SlammedU by contacting us at slammeduniversity@gmail.com. Please identify the account, content, campus page, post, or URL you want reviewed.
We will take reasonable steps to remove or de-identify eligible content from systems we control, subject to legal, safety, fraud prevention, payment, dispute, moderation, backup, and legitimate business needs.
Removal may not be complete if the content was copied, screenshotted, reposted, cached, archived, indexed, shared by others, published to Instagram or Meta, or otherwise stored by third parties outside our control.
15. California and State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or opt out of certain uses of personal information. We will respond to applicable privacy requests as required by law.
Where required and reasonably feasible, you may request a portable copy of personal information you provided to us. We may decline or limit requests where permitted by law, including for security, fraud prevention, legal, payment, or third-party rights reasons.
California law may require online services to disclose the categories of personal information collected, the categories of third parties with whom information is shared, how users can review or request changes to information, how material policy changes are announced, the policy effective date, how Do Not Track or similar signals are handled, and whether third parties may collect information about users' online activities over time and across services.
We do not knowingly sell personal information of users under 16. We do not currently sell student contact lists. If SlammedU uses advertising, analytics, partner sharing, sponsorship, school partnership, or similar activity that legally qualifies as a sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or third-party direct marketing disclosure under a state privacy law, we will provide required notices and opt-out methods.
Some browsers or devices offer Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. We will honor legally required opt-out signals where applicable to our services. Because there is not yet a single industry standard for Do Not Track, we may not respond to every browser Do Not Track signal unless required by law.
16. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we identify a data incident requiring notice, we will notify affected users, regulators, or other parties as required by applicable law. For California residents, this may include notices with legally required details and regulator reporting where required for larger incidents.
17. International Users
SlammedU is operated from the United States. If you use SlammedU from another country, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new effective date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice or request consent where required by law. Continued use of SlammedU after an update means you acknowledge the updated policy.
